Designing a garden which is viewed by 1000 people per day at 45 mph was a unique challenge. The block long synagogue had a stark appearance which needed to be softened. This was accomplished by adding warm colored curved retaining walls, plants that move in the wind, and a natural arrangement of trees, shrubs and perennials, with an emphasis on native plants.
